Returning to my rural roots...

About the Farm Diva

Bienvenue and howdy! We’re all about to find out what happens when a “citified” lady returns to her rural roots. It should be interesting. It might be entertaining. I hope it’s fun.

You’re invited to read and laugh along on the adventure. The occasional offer of encouragement would be welcome.

About Me: I grew up in rural Kansas and Oklahoma. When I moved to the big city, I was mentored by diva meeting planners, who determined they should make something of me. These dragon ladies drilled me in the basic survival skill of anticipating every whim, the politics of impeccable judgment and the art of looking fantastic when one’s hair is on fire. It was hard work ensuring I paid my dues, so I am grateful to those ladies for my career and my good taste.

Outside of work and the artistry of being me I have had many hobbies, but my favorites have always been entertaining and cooking. One thing leads to another for the inquisitive, so cooking led to growing vegetables, led to an obsession with dirt, led to buying a mini-farm. Now I'm settled between the plains and ponderosas with my husband, our Chihuahua, our blue heeler, our cat and a snake.
